Oh, right...

Hi folks,
It's been brought to my attention that my poor blog readers have been sorrowfully neglected... yet again. Yes, I am home in Alberta, although I use the word "home" somewhat loosely as I've been crashing with friends and family since my arrival back in the Great Frozen North. Thanks go out to my Aunt Sharon, Mom, Sister, and friend Sarah for their wonderful hosting. My sister and her fiance in particular will be saddled with me for a week or more... good thing they've got a big house.

I started back at work today and was actually delighted to do so. Hopefully that delight will last for a good while yet. Thanks also go out to my Gram for lending me her car so I can commute from my sister's place in Devon to my work in the middle of Edmonton. I get possession of our apartment in Newton on Dec 1 and will hopefully be able to move in shortly thereafter. If you're reading this and you haven't heard from me yet, please don't be offended... without my own place to host from I've been mostly focussing on getting things like health care arrangements done and am only slowly managing to see my beloved people. Can't wait to see you all though!

Rem returns from the Low Lying Regions of the world mid-December but doesn't make it out to the city until Dec 23 as his family is appropriating him for ten days... I am reluctantly allowing this. :) I'll also be out in Vernon for the weekend of the 16-19 so do get to have a short visit with them too.

So that's the news! Yes, it's good to be home.

make sure and let me know how that whole health-care-sorting thing went, as I'll be in the same boat in about two weeks.

Health care was no real problem. Get the form off the website, fill it out and take a book to the office in Edmonton where you will likely wait for a long time but will walk out reinstated and health care card in hand. The form can also be mailed but I guess it takes 3 weeks to get your card then... not as good if you need to see the docs right away.
